Pack 670 Summer Schedule
(updated April 13, 2000)
Sponsored by City of Cohoes, through Fishing for Kids, Inc. Van
Schiak Pond - meet at Van Schaik Island for 10 a.m. registration.
Bring your fishing pole. There will be loaners available if you
don't own one. Fishing is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided
by the Cohoes Kiwanis. There will be prizes! Please note that
this event may be available for scouts only.
We will assist the City of Cohoes in it's beautification project
during this time frame, probably planting in one of the parks.
The Troop has also volunteered. Details t.b.a.
Clean up of Storage area and pack equipment inventory - CCE 1
p.m. This is a service project for adults of the pack who can
help Dr. Costello and Cubmaster Urban.
6:00 p.m. line up on Columbia.
Refreshments served at the Cohoes American Legion after the parade.
Bring your tent, camping equipment, and food for the weekend.
Campout lasts from 6 p.m. Friday to noon Sunday. A group will
leave from CCE at 5 p.m. on Friday. Directions to Wakpominee:
Take exit 20 of the Northway. Follow Route 9 north until in intersects
with route 149. Turn right onto Route 149. Go about one mile to
the intersection of Buttermilk Falls Road. Turn left and follow
northerly for about 4 1/2 miles. The main entrance to camp is
located on the left side of the road about one mile north of the
merger of Buttermilk Falls Road and Sly Pond Road. There is no
charge for this camping.
Meet at American Legion, 93 Oneida Street, (behind Cohoes Music
hall), parking is available in bank lot. This is a flag retrieval
project at St. Joseph's and St. Agnes cemeteries. Mayor McDonald
specifically asked for scouts help on this one!
We will meet at CCE School parking lot at to leave for Howe's
cavern at 8:30 a.m.* Arrive 10 AM. Pay upon arrival. (Group Rate: $7.94 Adults, $5
Children)
We will leave from CCE School at 1 PM. Bring drink, trail snack,
binoculars.*
Send in your purple reservation form by May 11 for the best rate! Send your form and fee directly to Council. (Twin Rivers Council
event. Many packs involved)
Leave from CCE at 9:30 a.m. * - Arrive at 11:30 AM. - Pay upon arrival (Group Rate: $9 Adults,
$4.50 Children)
Send your yellow form and fee directly to Council.
Leave from CCE at 8:30 a.m.* - Fee for cars approx. $6 - Bring a picnic lunch. (We have rented
a pavilion for a pack picnic after the hike.)
Leave from CCE at 11:00 a.m.* - Arrive at 1:00 PM, airshow at 2:00 PM. Pay upon arrival. (Group
Rate: $9 Adults, $4.50 Children)
(Please note that this show will be different than the July 30
show!)
We will arrive Battleship Cove by 1 p.m. Saturday and will depart
by 4:30 Sunday. (Group Rate: $33/person. Registration form available.
Few additional seats still available.

NOTES:
All activities in Uniform Please! (exception Wakpominee)
Parents are required to attend and participate with their children
and
provide for the transportation of their children. If you make
arrangements for your child to attend with another family or responsible
adult (21 or over), you must send a written permission slip for
the trip
and permission for treatment for medical emergencies.
* Driving directions for these events will be provided at CCE parking lot.
